Lil’ Dudes Super Series

What is a lil’ dude?

In the 1997 Nickelodeon family comedy Good Burger, Ed (played by Kel Mitchell) perfectly described a dude. He said, “I’m a dude. He’s a dude. She’s a dude, cause we’re all dudes.” Lil’ dudes is what we call all of our little aspiring box lacrosse players at Northstar Box practices.

why should these lil’ dudes play box Lacrosse?

Box lacrosse is by far the best way to teach general lacrosse skills, regardless of which version of the game you aspire to play because it maximizes live reps. The rules are based on keeping the game moving: Shot clock, quick restarts, smaller/enclosed space, and less whistles keep the action going and forces players to anticipate/play ahead of the whistle.

Stickwork drills are centered around shooting on a live goalie and the tight spaces and physicality teach you to be efficient, quick, deceptive, and tough.

And most importantly… It is fun!
